Hello! I’m Kat, and I’m an illustrator from Leeds. I'm interested in storytelling and character design, and recently my work has explored themes such as mental health, disability activism and LGBTQ+ visibility.
Most days you'll find me at Aire Place Studios doodling on post-it notes and eating too many biscuits.
My first children’s book, Great People Who Reached for the Stars (written by Louise Page) was released in May 2021. It follows the true stories of 26 activists and disability rights pioneers from around the world.
I make stickers, greetings cards, stationery and digital prints of my work (available from my Etsy shop!). I use sustainable materials and packaging wherever possible and everything is sourced locally to minimise its impact on the environment.
I've recently been developing a series of tutored drawing classes, which I'm really excited to be delivering to the OWLS group at Left Bank Leeds this summer. Since 2021 I've worked with the charity Get Further delivering GCSE English and Maths tuition to students in Bradford and Leeds.
I graduated from Leeds Arts University in 2018 with a First Class Honours Degree in Illustration.
